Yasmin Karachiwala has been reported as the pioneer of Pilates in India, credited as the first BASI-certified Pilates instructor in the country. Based in Mumbai, she built her reputation as a celebrity fitness instructor, with coverage noting she has trained some of Bollywood’s leading actresses, including Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor.

Her work is housed under the Yasmin Karachiwala Body Image (YKBI) brand, a Pilates studio with an official presence at ykbipilates.com. According to a report covering the brand’s expansion, a new Body Image studio location opened in Juhu, Mumbai, launched in partnership with her son, Zahaan Karachiwala.

Online, Karachiwala is known as @yasminkarachiwala on Instagram, where her bio identifies her as ‘Pioneer Pilates India’ and ‘Celebrity Fitness Instructor’, and as the founder of @ykbi_pilates, reflecting the studio brand she has built around her name.
